Osezaki
【 Goto | Saikai National Park 】
Osezaki is a marine cliff formed by cutting action of the rough East China Sea waves on mudstone and sandstone at the western end of Fukue Island. The steep slope continues to the top of Mt. Oseyama at an altitude of 250 meters and is one of the leading tourist spots in Goto City. It takes around 20 minutes to walk along the path to the lighthouse from the parking lot. The surrounding area is also a relay site of migratory birds such as the honey buzzard and northern hobby. In the fall, thousands of these birds can be observed in migration.
